Aspiring necromancers and underworld adventurers in RuneScape, rejoice! The new Hard and Elite Underworld Area tasks are now available, offering fresh challenges and exciting rewards.

Expanding the Underworld

Initially known as the Um Area Tasks, this task set has been renamed to Underworld Area Tasks to encompass new locations such as the River Noumenon and the upcoming Sanctum of Rebirth. This update brings a broader range of activities and rewards for players to explore.

Hard Underworld achievements

• A Fungal Fun Ghoul: Spin some fungal bowstring at the spinning wheel in the City of Um.
• Isn’t Mushroom Down Here: Plant some morchella mushrooms in the City of Um.
• Do You Like Jazz?: Rest whilst listening to the Dead Beats in the City of Um.
• Food for the Sole: Catch and cook a ghostly sole in the City of Um.
• Necro Necronium: Smith a necronium bar at the smithy in the City of Um.
• My, My, Miasma: Craft some miasma runes.
• Ghost Hunter: Catch a ghostly impling while wearing a full set of ghostly robes.
• Passing the Test: Create a passing bracelet, performing each step in the City of Um.
• Volley Ghoul: Hit an enemy with Volley of Souls with at least 3 residual soul stacks within the City of Um.

Elite Underworld achievements

• Undead to Rites: Teleport to the Ungael ritual site using the Ungael Teleport incantation.
• Down with the Disturbances: Dispel 6 ritual disturbances within a single ritual.
• He’s My Berry Pie: Give a blueberry pie to Thalmund in the City of Um.
• B.Y.O.B.: Make an overload potion within The Last Call in the City of Um.
• A Sorrow State of Affairs: Activate the Sorrow prayer over the River Noumenon.
• Owl Be Seeing You: Track 8 of the owls in the City of Um.
• Fetch Me Their Souls: Craft a soul rune at the soul altar with a soul cape equipped.
• A Game of Cat and Amascut: Speak to ??? within the Sanctum of Rebirth.

Underworld Grimoire 3 and 4

The latest additions to your necromantic arsenal are here. Underworld Grimoire 3 and 4 are now available from Kili and Crunchy. These powerful tomes provide all the benefits of previous versions but enhanced to offer even more convenience and power.

Underworld Grimoire 3 (Hard)

• Dropped dragon bones, dagannoth bones, airut bones, ourg bones, hardened dragon bones and dragonkin bones are sent to focus storage
• 7.5% chance per impure essence of receiving an extra rune from runecrafting
• 9% extra experience from dispelling ritual disturbances
• 10% extra necroplasm from rituals
• Unlimited teleports to the Um ritual site
• 10% chance to mix four-dose extreme necromancy potions when mixing three-dose extreme necromancy potions in Um
• Disease-free Um mushroom patch
• 5 daily noted dragon bones from Lupe
• 3 daily greater ghostly inks from Lupe
• 3 daily greater ritual candles from Lupe
• Lupe stocks a limited amount of buckets of slime

Underworld Grimoire 4 (Elite)

• Dropped dinosaur bones, frost dragon bones and reinforced dragon bones are sent directly to the focus storage
• 10% chance per impure essence of receiving an extra rune from runecrafting
• 12% extra experience from dispelling ritual disturbances
• 15% extra necroplasm from rituals
• Daily teleport to Lupe from the tome
• Potion effect no longer is limited to Um or requires the Underworld Grimoire to be equipped
• 2 daily powerful ghostly inks from Lupe
• Daily rewards are sent to bank and focus storage, not inventory
• Free item recovery from death once per day
