In celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog’s 35th anniversary, SEGA took the stage at Summer Game Fest 2026 to reveal a massive expansion roadmap for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. The update promises a star-studded second year of content, bringing iconic franchises from across pop culture directly onto the race track.
Coming Soon: TMNT and Avatar: The Last Airbender
The party kicks off this summer with a heavy-hitter crossover.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pack (July 2026): Based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, players will finally be able to take control of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo. The pack includes all four brothers as playable racers, along with dedicated turtle-themed vehicles, new courses, and a suite of TMNT-inspired music tracks.
- Avatar Pack (October 2026): Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender can look forward to bending the elements on the track. This pack introduces fan-favorites Aang and Katara, complemented by new Avatar-inspired courses, unique emotes, and thematic music tracks.

Year Two: The Godzilla and Evangelion Expansion
SEGA also provided a tantalizing sneak peek into what lies beyond the initial 2026 roadmap. The “Year Two” content slate is set to ramp up the scale with two massive DLC packs:
- Godzilla DLC Pack: Bringing “larger-than-life” excitement to the race, this pack promises courses and characters inspired by the King of the Monsters.
- EVANGELION DLC Pack: A high-octane addition that will feature EVANGELION-themed courses and racers, fitting perfectly with the high-speed nature of Sonic Racing.

Season Pass Two
SEGA confirmed that this incoming content will be part of a larger strategy. Season Pass Two is slated to include a total of six new DLC packs, ensuring a steady stream of racers, vehicles, and tracks throughout the upcoming year. More details regarding the remaining packs and specific release schedules are expected to be shared later in 2026.
Whether you’re hitting the track as a Ninja Turtle, a Bending master, or an EVA pilot, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is positioning itself to be a massive celebration of cross-franchise racing as Sonic enters his 35th year.
