The roster of MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls just got a lot more dangerous. During the latest State of Play, Arc System Works unveiled the fourth team to join the roster: the Knights of Doom. Led by the previously announced Doctor Doom, this squad brings three legendary villains into the fray: Magneto, Green Goblin, and Carnage.
The Knights of Doom: Villainous Synergy
The Knights of Doom are driven by motivations that will be explored in the game’s Episode Mode. Why would a proud leader like Magneto align himself with Doctor Doom? Players will have to fight through the campaign to find the answer.
This team also brings a new stage to the game: Marvel’s New York (Night). This striking nighttime version of the city serves as the team’s home base and is packed with hidden Easter eggs for eagle-eyed fans.

New Playable Character Breakdowns
- Magneto: The Master of Magnetism uses the environment as a weapon. His gameplay revolves around hurling debris at enemies. This debris remains on the stage after shattering, creating persistent hazards that amplify his magnetic skills.
- Green Goblin: Norman Osborn takes to the skies on his signature glider. He is a high-speed, unconventional fighter who excels at disrupting enemy tactics with projectile-heavy attacks like Razor Bats and Pumpkin Bombs.
- Carnage: The symbiote-bonded serial killer is the roster’s most aggressive threat. His attacks focus on blade-work and tendrils. When he lands hits, he inflicts a “symbiote-infested” state on enemies, which allows him to drain health through their guards.

The Tournament’s Ultimate Threat: The Champion
The game’s overarching antagonist has finally been revealed: The Champion of the Universe. An ancient Elder who has traveled the cosmos for billions of years, he has declared Earth the next target for his “Challenge of the Champion” tournament.
The Champion embodies elegance and overwhelming power. In the tournament, teams of four must compete in preliminary rounds to earn the right to challenge him directly. Fail to satisfy him in combat, and he will annihilate the entire planet.

What’s Next for MARVEL Tōkon?
With only one team remaining to be revealed, the MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls roster is nearly complete. If you are itching to get your hands on the game, Arc System Works has announced that a new hands-on demo will be available at Evo 2026 in Las Vegas, starting June 26.
Players at Evo will be able to play as Magneto for the very first time and experience the new Night version of Marvel’s New York stage.
Stay tuned for the final team announcement, which is expected to round out the roster ahead of the game’s official launch!
