Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has officially launched Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This title marks the first large-scale, live-service multiplayer experience in the Sword Art Online video game series, allowing fans to engage in exciting co-op quests, boss raids, and free roam adventures.

A New Adventure in Alfheim Online

Set in the vast virtual world of Alfheim Online, a system malfunction within the Galaxia installation causes worlds and timelines to collide, throwing Kirito, Asuna, Leafa, and their allies into an unfamiliar and chaotic landscape. Players will explore these new environments and face off against dangerous enemies, forming alliances to survive and restore balance.

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream presents an original story featuring fan-favorite characters and offers intense cross-platform co-op experiences, where players can team up to tackle missions and face powerful bosses.

Game Modes: From Solo to Massive Co-Op

In single-player mode, players can embark on a personal journey to fix the timeline disruptions caused by Galaxia’s malfunction. Players will face enemies and progress through the story, all while enjoying the action-packed adventure at their own pace.

In online multiplayer mode, players can form teams of up to 20 players to participate in three different modes:

• Co-Op Quest: Complete missions and take on challenging boss fights at the end of each mission.
• Boss Raid: Work together to defeat massive boss enemies, requiring cooperation and strategy.
• Free Roam: Explore the open world, meet other players, and team up to enjoy a free-form co-op experience.
