Nintendo has announced Splatoon Raiders, the franchise’s first-ever spinoff, launching exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. In this new adventure set across the mysterious Spirhalite Islands, players take on the role of a mechanic alongside Deep Cut.
This comes hot off the heels of the announcement that the Nintendo Switch 2 is the fastest-selling Nintendo console of all time.
More details will be shared at a later date.
Splatoon 3 Update
A free update is also arriving for Splatoon 3 on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on 12th June. It adds the Splatlands Collection — 30 new weapon kits from Barazushi and Emberz, a returning map (Urchin Underpass), increased Freshness caps, and a new matchmaking stat: Series Weapon Power.
Switch 2 players will also benefit from enhanced visuals and smoother gameplay in hub areas. Crossplay between Switch and Switch 2 will be supported.
