Pokémon GO Wild Area Brings Grimmsnarl and Shiny Surprises

Published on

The Wild Area is back — and it’s bigger than ever. From November 7–9, the event comes to Nagasaki, Japan, transforming the city into a Pokémon paradise filled with new encounters and exclusive bonuses.

The highlight? The debut of Grimmsnarl, the mischievous Dark- and Fairy-type Pokémon from Galar. Trainers will also have their first chance to catch Shiny Impidimp and Shiny Hatenna, making this one of the most exciting Pokémon GO events of the year.

This event is followed in December by Pokémon GO City Safari, which we reported on earlier this month.

Global Trainers Join the Adventure

Can’t make it to Japan? You won’t miss out. The Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global event runs November 15–16, bringing the same dark and fairy magic to Trainers worldwide.

Tickets are now live for ¥3,600 (Nagasaki) and AUD$17.99 (Global) via the official Pokémon GO Wild Area page.

Event Highlights

Dark- and Fairy-Type Frenzy
Event-themed Pokémon will rotate hourly, with increased spawns for Impidimp, Hatenna, and their evolutions. Trainers can finally encounter Shiny Impidimp and Shiny Hatenna for the first time.

Impidimp, Morgrem, and Grimmsnarl Debut

Shadow Raids Return
Prepare for intense Shadow Raids against Team GO Rocket, featuring the debut of Shadow Darkrai and Shadow Cresselia. Lucky Trainers might even find Shiny versions of both.
