The world of Pokémon X and Y is taking over. Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global is officially set for February 28 and March 1, 2026. While the event is a free global experience, Sydney-based Trainers have a special reason to head outdoors and celebrate with the community in person.

Sydney’s Exclusive In-Person Celebration

For those in New South Wales, the heart of the action will be at Westfield Parramatta. To celebrate the launch of the Kalos Tour, a special Pokémon GO pop-up will run across both days of the event.

What to expect at Westfield Parramatta (Level 2):

• Pikachu Sun Visor Giveaway: Grab a themed visor to keep the sun at bay while you hunt for shinies.
• Exclusive Pokémon GO Pins: Check in via the Campfire app at the official meetup to collect a physical event pin (while stocks last).
• Photo Opportunities: Snap a photo with larger-than-life backdrops and fellow fans.
• Community Meetups: Connect with local Community Ambassadors and other Trainers to tackle high-level raids.

Important: While the pop-up is open to all, tickets for the Sydney-specific experience are limited. Trainers are encouraged to register their interest and secure a free spot through the official event website.

Global Gameplay: Shiny Diancie and Mega Debuts

Whether you are in Sydney or playing from home, the global event is packed with content. This year’s tour focuses on the “Rising” concentration of Mega Evolution, bringing two highly anticipated debuts to the game.

• Mega Victreebel will make its global debut on Saturday, February 28.
• Mega Malamar will arrive on Sunday, March 1.
• Shiny Diancie makes its first-ever appearance in Pokémon GO. Ticket holders can access the Masterwork Research to encounter this rare Mythical Pokémon.

Habitats and Costume Pikachu

During the event, Pokémon will rotate through three unique habitats, each inspired by the diverse landscapes of Kalos: Central Village, Mountain Manor, and Coastal Laboratory.

Keep an eye out for Calem’s Hat Pikachu and Serena’s Hat Pikachu, making their debut in honor of the original Kalos protagonists. For the first time, you may also encounter Shiny Honedge, Shiny Hawlucha, and Shiny Klefki in the wild or through 10km Eggs.

The core of Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos is free for everyone, but an optional event ticket is available for those who want to maximize their rewards.

The global event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on both days. Ensure your app is updated and your battery is charged. If you’re attending the Sydney pop-up, remember to download the Campfire app beforehand to check in and claim your exclusive rewards.
