Nintendo Direct Unveils New Legend of Zelda and Metroid Prime 4

In an exciting Nintendo Direct presentation on June 19th, 2024, Nintendo revealed an array of new games and updates set to thrill gamers in 2024 and beyond. Among the standout announcements were the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and the all-new The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, both promising to deliver captivating adventures on the Nintendo Switch.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond: Nintendo gave a tantalizing first look at Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, showcasing gameplay from Samus Aran’s latest mission. Set to launch in 2025, the game promises a new chapter in the iconic series, with enhanced graphics and innovative gameplay that will captivate both longtime fans and new players.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: In a thrilling twist, players will take on the role of Princess Zelda in this new installment of the beloved franchise. Scheduled for release on September 26, 2024, the game introduces a mysterious fairy companion, Tri, and a new mechanic called the Tri Rod, which allows Zelda to create and manipulate “echoes” of objects in the environment. A special Nintendo Switch Lite Hyrule Edition, adorned with the Hylian Crest, will launch alongside the game.

Alongside this release, a special gold-colored Nintendo Switch Lite Hyrule Edition, featuring the iconic Hylian Crest, will be available to fans. This exclusive console not only celebrates the rich heritage of the Zelda series but also offers Australian and New Zealand players a unique perk: a 12-month membership to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, granting access to classic Zelda titles from the NES, Super NES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Advance.
