Los Angeles Comic Con is about to get a giant-sized dose of tokusatsu heroics. Tsuburaya Productions has announced that Ultraman will take center stage at this year’s convention, running September 26-28 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Fans can expect exclusive screenings, a major panel, merch drops, and even a tournament for the Ultraman card game.
Big Screen Moments
Two screenings headline the weekend’s lineup:
- Ultraman 4K Discovery () – The U.S. premiere of remastered classic Ultraman episodes in stunning 4K.
- Ultraman Omega () – A sneak peek at the first two English-dubbed episodes of the new series, following Sorato Okida, a human form of Ultraman Omega who defends Earth while searching for his lost identity. The series will officially stream in the U.S. later this year.

“Ultraman in America” Panel
On at the West Hall Stage, fans can join the Ultraman in America Update panel. Moderated by Tsuburaya Fields Media & Pictures Entertainment (TFMPE) President David Kornblum, the discussion will cover Ultraman’s expanding footprint in publishing, licensing, and media.
Guests include Danny Simon (TFM) and Stephen Smith (Sky Turtle Nova), who will highlight projects like Titan Books’ second Ultraman novel Ultraseven and The Ultra Academy middle-grade series. Author Rebecca K. Reynolds will also be on hand for signings.
Booths, Books, and Battles
At Booth #5225, Tsuburaya Productions is rolling out exclusive experiences:
- Special edition bookplates for The Ultra Academy Book One: Beware The Baleful Baltan signed by author Rebecca K. Reynolds.
- Exclusive online merch drops and interactive displays.
- A spotlight on the Ultraman Card Game from partner PopCulture USA.
Card game fans can also take part in the Ultraman Rise Cup Tournament on in the LACC Gaming Area. Registered players get a 12% discount on L.A. Comic Con admission.

A Hero with History
Since first appearing in 1966, Ultraman has stood as Japan’s “Giant of Light,” battling kaiju and aliens across television, films, games, and comics. Today, the franchise continues to expand globally, with shows and films available on YouTube, Prime Video, Tubi, Roku, Pluto, and more.
