mezii signs with Team Vitality

Vitality are coming off a major win in May, but are not immune to roster changes. With Magisk on the bench, it seems the organization has found his replacement.

Vitality has officially welcomed aboard a powerhouse player: William “mezii” Merriman. The seasoned player, formerly with fnatic, joins the Vitality ranks, bringing a wealth of experience and skill to the team. mezii steps into the spotlight, replacing Emil “Magisk” Reif, who found himself on the bench earlier this month.

mezii has already taken to X (formerly Twitter) to comment on the transfer. He has said that he is “super excited” and “pumped to begin this new journey.”

With mezii, fnatic haven’t had the greatest results as of late. In fact, the only tournaments they saw the podium were qualifiers. When it comes to the larger events they placed; 9th-12th at IEM Katowice, 9th-11th at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, and 9th-12th at IEM Cologne. After his departure, they are also left with a roster spot to fill before they play in the BetBoom Dacha Closed Qualifier a week from now.

fnatic don’t seem to have any ill-will towards mezii for the move. They took to X to reply to the announcement video simply with “GL Mezii 🧡🖤.”

Vitality have just under two weeks to practice with mezii before BLAST Premier Fall Finals Nov 22-26 in Copenhagen. Ultimately their performance at that tournament doesn’t matter too much as they already qualified for the BLAST Premier World Finals. This is due to their major win at the BLAST.tv Paris Major earning them the spot.

With the signing of mezii, the Vitality roster is now comprised of:
