Complexity (C-Tier)
Complexity comes to Stage 1 as the top seed, with their 2-0 win over BLUEJAYS capping off a clean run in the qualifiers. JT continues to lead the charge, while players like Grim and hallzerk provide reliable firepower. Complexity looks like the most polished North American squad heading to Texas.
While some still question their ability to replicate their domestic success against international opposition, this Major could be a turning point. With momentum from their qualifier success and the comfort of playing on home turf, Complexity is well-positioned to make a strong push toward Stage 2.
HEROIC (D-Tier)
HEROIC enters Austin looking to reclaim its place among Europe’s elite. Their recent performances, including a 1st place at MESA Nomadic Masters, suggest that the team is regaining its footing.
The arrival of talents like xfl0ud and yxngstxr has helped the team begin to rebuild and look stronger than they have been. Their opening matchup against Chinggis Warriors presents a valuable opportunity to establish early confidence on the Major stage.
B8
B8 comes into Austin as one of the most battle-tested squads from the European qualifiers. They took down both ENCE and Astralis in upsets. Despite flying under the radar heading into the qualifier, B8 made it clear they can pose a challenge.
The team features talents like headtr1ck and npl, both of whom have continued to work hard since their time with NAVI’s extended roster. While their lack of Major experience could pose a challenge on the big stage, B8’s momentum and hunger make them one of the most exciting underdogs in Stage 1.
BetBoom Team
BetBoom enters the Austin Major with one of the most intriguing rosters in Stage 1. Their 2-1 victory over 9 Pandas in the Europe Major Qualifier secured their spot, but it is the names on the server that have generated real buzz. With former standouts Ax1Le and Boombl4, this lineup carries both firepower and experience.
Despite being a relatively new project, BetBoom has quickly found its footing. The team still has moments of inconsistency, but their ceiling is undeniably high when the stars align. BetBoom stands out as a volatile but real threat to reach Stage 2.
TYLOO (D-Tier)
TYLOO returns to the Major stage after securing a 2-0 win over Rare Atom in the China Regional Qualifier. Their qualifier performance was marked by controlled pacing and solid teamplay.
Players like JamYoung and Mercury bring explosive firepower to the server, while veterans like Attacker and Moseyuh provide the structure and composure needed on the big stage. They may face challenges adapting to the pace and structure of top-tier European teams, but their talent and confidence give them potential in the Stage 1 bracket.
Lynn Vision Gaming
Lynn Vision made their way to Austin with a hard-fought 2-1 win over TYLOO in the China Regional Qualifier. Their success in the qualifier shows a team growing in confidence and willing to make bold plays against more established rosters.
For this team it is a combination of key contributors like Starry and z4kr, alongside Westmelon’s leadership and the recent impact of C4LLM3SU3. The team enters Austin with a solid foundation and, while international play still presents a step up in pace and tactical depth, Lynn Vision has the firepower and cohesion to make it to Stage 2.
Wildcard (D-Tier)
Wildcard arrives in Austin with momentum and a chip on their shoulder. Their hard-fought 2-1 victory over NRG in the North America Regional Qualifier was a very important statement. While they have not taken home any big tournament wins, Wildcard has steadily grown into one of the more promising teams in NA.
The team has been showing signs of improvement and it is players like JBa and phzy that have been crucial to the team’s consistency. Advancing to Stage 2 will require them to beat more seasoned international squads, but Wildcard has shown they are capable of exceeding expectations. They are a team with a lot of potential at this stage.
FlyQuest (D-Tier)
FlyQuest secured their spot in Austin with a clean 2-0 sweep over SemperFi in the Oceania and Southeast Asia Regional Qualifier. Oceania has historically struggled to keep pace with other regions at Majors, but their qualifier run legitimizes them as a contender.
Players like INS and Liazz bring a wealth of experience, while regali’s sharp AWPing has added a new layer of firepower to the team. With talent like Vexite and nettik rounding out the roster, FlyQuest has become more than just a regional prospect. They are a team capable of challenging international lineups. Advancing from Stage 1 will be a major test given the strength of the field, but FlyQuest is fully capable of making it happen.
OG
OG comes into Stage 1 with something to prove. Their 2-1 victory over Metizport in the Europe Major Qualifier was a hard-fought battle that highlighted both the team’s resilience and its inconsistencies. OG is currently looking to reestablish its presence on the international stage.
Their current roster blends experience with developing talent. The new addition of nicoodoz and his impactful AWPing will hopefully bring fresh energy to the squad. While the team has yet to make a deep run in a major tournament with this lineup, they should not be taken lightly.
Chinggis Warriors
Chinggis Warriors secured their spot in Austin after an intense 2-1 victory over Eruption in the Mongolian and West Asian Regional Qualifier. As one of the newer names on the international radar, the Warriors represent a growing Mongolian scene.
The roster features players like controlez and efire, who have steadily gained recognition for their impact on the server. There is certainly a lack of experience against top-tier European or North American opposition, but they are a team that cannot be taken lightly. They open Stage 1 against HEROIC, one of the scarier teams for them to draw, time will tell if they can hold their own.
Imperial Esports
Imperial comes back to the Major spotlight with a roster of veterans and a dominant qualifying run behind them. Their 2-0 victories over ODDIK and Sharks in the South America Regional Qualifier were convincing, showing that this squad still has the ability to compete internationally.
Led by VINI and powered by talents like try and chayJESUS, this iteration of Imperial blends experience with fresh energy. While expectations are lower than it was for previous lineups, Imperial could be a real threat to reach Stage 2.
Nemiga Gaming
Nemiga punched their ticket to Austin with a clean 2-0 victory over BIG in the Europe Major Qualifier. This win caught the attention of many within the scene.
While they lack the star power of top-tier teams, Nemiga compensates with a collective approach and smart decision-making. Advancing from Stage 1 will be an uphill battle given the field, but they are exactly the kind of squad that can turn early momentum into an unexpected breakthrough.
NRG
NRG returns to the Major circuit with a mix of veteran leadership and rising talent, having secured their spot in Austin with a 2-1 win over Getting Info in the North America Regional Qualifier. They ultimately fell short against Wildcard in the finals, but showed that they deserve a spot in this stage.
Their core continues to center around oSee and HexT, who bring both experience and firepower to the table. The challenge for NRG will be keeping pace with the faster and more tactically sound European teams in the Swiss format, but if their star players show up, they have a chance to make it through to the next stage.
Metizport
Metizport arrives in Austin after a victory over Astralis in the Europe Major Qualifier, a result that instantly raised their stock. Although they fell short against OG, their qualification run showcased their potential. They may not be a team often in the Major conversation, but they have already proven they deserve their spot.
Their roster hampus and Plopski who bring veteran knowledge from their days with Ninjas in Pyjamas. Metizport is still growing into its identity, but they will enter Stage 1 with the confidence of having taken down legacy organisations.
Fluxo
Fluxo will come to Austin following a confident 2-0 win over Legacy in the South America Regional Qualifier. Fluxo has quietly become a decent squad capable of taking down teams above their weight.
Stability and clutch potential in key moments comes from players like piriajr and zevy. While Fluxo will face a tougher level of opposition in Stage 1, their recent form suggests they are capable of holding their own. Advancing will require both resilience and a strong opening match, but they are far from a long shot.
Legacy
Legacy arrives in Austin under unusual circumstances, stepping in as a last-minute replacement for BESTIA after the Argentine squad was forced to withdraw due to visa complications. Legacy had a middling showing in the South America Regional Qualifier, where they recovered from an early setback against Fluxo by beating ODDIK only to later be eliminated by BESTIA.
The roster features veterans like dumau and latto, both of whom bring valuable experience from top-level competition, alongside promising talents such as n1ssim and saadzin. While their late entry may put them on the back foot in terms of preparation, Legacy’s mix of firepower and composure gives them the potential to upset expectations. If they can settle into the event quickly, they could turn this unexpected opportunity into a breakthrough run.
