PAX Australia unveils 2024 Indie Showcase winners – Tabletop

From dice to boards, the PAX Aus 2024 Indie Showcase has everything. Six great tabletop games have been selected by the panel to be represented at PAX Aus 2024. Come and preview all of the games that they have picked.

PAX Aus is excited to reveal the winners of this year’s Aus Indie Showcase, showcasing the creativity of independent developers from across the nation. This year’s Showcase stands out with an exceptional 12 winners, evenly divided between digital and tabletop categories, reflecting the impressive number and quality of submissions received.

Fight With Spirit
Developed by: Storybrewers Roleplaying

Fight With Spirit by Storybrewers Roleplaying is a sports RPG focused on teamwork and personal growth. Players guide their team, honing skills and overcoming rivals, with the ultimate goal of winning the national championship in their chosen sport. From volleyball to Quidditch, the game offers a variety of athletic pursuits.

Oracle by Oracle Games is a game of deception and deduction. Players receive secret roles with hidden objectives to eliminate specific players. With no one knowing who is who, players must carefully observe their opponents to uncover their identities and achieve their goals.

Glade Developed by: Teafrog Games

Glade by Teafrog Games is a cozy tabletop game where players compete to create the most enchanting garden. By cultivating unique plants like Bogwanders and Dazzlebushes, players strategically expand their homestead and aim for the highest score.

Frayed Ally Developed by: Button Fox

Frayed Ally by Button Fox is a fast-paced battle royale set in the gritty underworld of Sewer City. Players fight for survival amidst chaos, using strategy and skill to outlast their opponents in a city overrun by violence.

Nimbus Developed by: Neural Forge

Nimbus by Neural Forge is a fast-paced, strategic board game where players constantly adapt their tactics. The objective is to eliminate your opponent’s Nimbus piece by strategically maneuvering your pieces using ever-changing movement modes.

MEAN! Developed by: Mean Games

MEAN! by Mean Games is a card game focused on strategy and sabotage. Players race to clear their hands by playing cards in ascending or descending order, but special cards like direction changers and hand swaps can disrupt plans. The ultimate goal is to be the first to empty your hand while avoiding the powerful “MEAN!” card.
